We, Nico and Heike Breitenstein, strive to make our website, The Haunted Hideout, accessible in accordance with applicable accessibility regulations (Accessibility Strengthening Act). As this is a purely private hobby project created with a free website builder (Wix), we are doing our best to remove barriers within our means.

1. Status of Compatibility This website is partially compliant with accessibility requirements due to the following points:

• Contrasts: We deliberately use strong contrasting colors such as our burgundy text boxes (#4A0000) and black backgrounds (#0A0A0A) in combination with light text in white and beige (#E5D3B3) to optimize readability.

• Structure: We use clear headings to make navigation easier.

• Plain language: We strive for easy-to-understand language.

2. Non-accessible content: As a private hobby project, we cannot guarantee complete, error-free accessibility at all times. Possible limitations include:

• Complex technical animations or external apps (such as the countdown timer).

• All images in the decoration are missing alternative text.

• Limitations due to the free Wix theme used.
